We partner with families to provide personalized, evidence-based speech-language therapy that helps children build confidence, strengthen communication, and thrive at home, in school, and in everyday life.
About
Grow Voices Through Everyday Moments
Bright Strides Therapy provides pediatric speech-language therapy for children with speech, language, fluency, and communication challenges. We proudly support children with developmental delays, autism, hearing differences, and other communication needs through evidence-based, family-centered care.
At Bright Strides, we believe meaningful progress happens when therapists and families work together. That's why parent education and home support are an important part of every child's therapy journey.
Anissa Weimer, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist and the owner of Bright Strides Therapy. Before becoming an SLP, she spent many years as an elementary teacher, giving her a unique understanding of how communication skills affect learning both in the classroom and at home.
She earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Longwood University in 2014 and specializes in working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.
In addition to her clinical work, Anissa is the creator of the Little Voices, Big Futures parent education series, which includes books, a podcast, workshops, and practical resources designed to help families understand and support their child's communication development. She believes parents are a child's first and most important teachers, and her goal is to provide practical, evidence-based strategies that fit naturally into everyday routines—not just during therapy sessions.

Lindsey's personal experience raising a child with special needs inspired her passion for helping families successfully navigate the educational system. She understands the challenges of interpreting evaluations, understanding eligibility, and working with schools to develop effective educational plans.
At Bright Strides Therapy, Lindsey works alongside Anissa to support children and families during therapy sessions, helping create a welcoming, engaging environment while building meaningful relationships with caregivers. She is currently preparing to pursue her education as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A), further expanding her ability to support children and their families.
She is passionate about helping families build strong partnerships with schools and therapy providers to support each child's long-term success.
